Dragonfly partner discusses future of Zcash development fund

Dragonfly managing partner Haseeb Qureshi stated that while the Zcash (ZEC) development fund remains necessary for completing technical milestones like Tachyon and quantum resistance, it should be the final iteration. He argued that once the protocol achieves stability, the fund should be phased out to avoid institutionalization and political risks. Qureshi also expressed skepticism toward pure token-holder governance for a store-of-value asset, favoring committee-based approaches for better policy predictability. He disclosed that Dragonfly holds ZEC and he is an investor in ZODL, though ZODL does not benefit from the development fund.
