World launches self-custodial financial app 'World Money'

World, formerly WorldCoin, has launched a self-custodial app called World Money, offering stablecoin payments, digital-asset trading, and rewards in over 150 countries. The rollout began on September 17, 2026, separating financial services from identity verification, which remains in the World ID App. The new app integrates services like Kalshi and Morpho, and includes a partnership with Stripe in the U.S. for Apple Pay funding. Tools for Humanity operates the platform, which aims to provide proof of human uniqueness.
