Optimism approves Upgrade 20 to pave way for Superchain interoperability

Optimism has approved Upgrade 20, which transitions its fault-proof system to Super Root Dispute Games. This architecture is a prerequisite for future Superchain interoperability, as it establishes a common timestamp reference across multiple chains. Testnet upgrades for OP Sepolia, Ink Sepolia, Soneium Minato, and Unichain Sepolia are targeted for September 17, with a mainnet execution scheduled for September 24, pending a successful seven-day testnet period.
