ECB calls for merchants to join digital euro pilot

The European Central Bank (ECB) has officially invited retail merchants across the Eurozone to participate in a digital euro pilot program. The initiative involves 19 national central banks and aims to test core use cases, including P2P transfers, offline payments, and POS transactions, to ensure the digital euro's functionality and sovereignty against private stablecoins.
