Latin American telecom operator VIVA migrates financial settlements to Avalanche

Bolivian telecom operator VIVA has become the first to join Iris, an Avalanche-based ecosystem network founded by former IBM blockchain partner Jules Miller. VIVA will use the USDi stablecoin issued by Agora for financial settlements and to manage operational reserves, mitigating local currency volatility without replacing existing core systems. Iris operates on an independent Avalanche L1 and has secured a $43 million funding commitment from Balesia Group.
