YouTube crypto influencer arrested for leading $1.8 million USDT scam

Taiwanese authorities arrested 26 individuals, including a YouTube influencer known as 'Jiaoyi Bi Xiuke' (交易幣修課), for operating a fraudulent investment scheme. The group allegedly defrauded 46 victims of approximately 58.69 million TWD by directing them to a fake investment app called 'Hengfeng' to purchase Tether (USDT). The operation involved money laundering through shell companies linked to organized crime groups, including the Four Seas Gang (四海幫). Despite the arrests, the influencer's social media accounts have reportedly remained active.
