UK government considers retroactive law following record crypto donations to Reform UK

Reform UK received a record-breaking £72 million (approximately €84 million) in donations from crypto billionaires Christopher Harborne and Ben Delo. In response to the controversy, the UK government is considering retroactive legislation to regulate political donations from individuals who have recently established residency in the country. Harborne and Delo, who were based abroad, made the donations shortly after returning to the UK. Nigel Farage is also facing a parliamentary inquiry regarding a separate £5 million donation from Harborne.
