MediaTek unveils Dimensity 9600 Pro chip with 2nm process

MediaTek (联发科) announced its next-generation flagship chip, the Dimensity 9600 Pro, at its 2026 flagship product launch on September 15. The chip utilizes TSMC's 2nm process and features over 33 billion transistors. It incorporates a converged computing architecture with an AI-centric engine and a full-core design, supporting LPDDR6 memory and UFS 5.0 storage. Compared to the Dimensity 9500, the new chip offers significant power efficiency improvements and performance gains in both single-core and multi-core benchmarks.
