OpenAI Acquires AI Camera Developer Glass Imaging for Over $300 Million

OpenAI has acquired Glass Imaging, a startup specializing in AI-enhanced smartphone photography, according to The Wall Street Journal. The deal, which reportedly took place several months ago, valued the startup at over $300 million, up from approximately $100 million in 2025. Glass Imaging was founded by former Apple engineers, and its zoom technology is currently utilized by Honor. Neither party has officially confirmed the acquisition.
