Two Crypto Tycoons Donate Over £72 Million to Reform UK in 24 Hours

Two crypto billionaires, BitMEX co-founder Ben Delo and Bitfinex/Tether investor Christopher Harborne, have donated a combined £72 million (approximately $97.4 million) to the Reform UK party within 24 hours. This contribution sets a new record for the largest single donation in British political history. Harborne stated the donation was intended to support a party ready to govern, rather than to seek political favors. The party, led by Nigel Farage, has previously pledged support for initiatives such as a central bank Bitcoin reserve. The donation is currently under regulatory scrutiny, with Scotland Yard investigating the party's political funding and a separate parliamentary investigation into personal gifts received by Farage. Both the party and the donors have denied any wrongdoing.
