AI coding agent Amp removes BYOK monthly and token fees

AI coding agent Amp has announced that users can now use the platform for free when providing their own compute resources and model subscriptions or API keys. The BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) model no longer incurs Amp token fees or usage limits, excluding enterprise plans. Users can run agents locally via Runner or use the pay-as-you-go remote compute environment Orbs. Additionally, Amp introduced a free Hobby tier and updated its membership benefits for Megawatt and Gigawatt users.
