Cathie Wood supports David Sacks' claim that AI doomsday narratives may be manipulated

ARK Invest founder Cathie Wood shared an interview featuring David Sacks, Chairman of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, who suggested that recent media reports claiming "AI will destroy humanity" may be artificially orchestrated. Sacks alleged that the narrative originated from a long-inactive X account belonging to a former Anthropic employee who left the company after only six weeks, with the content subsequently gaining rapid traction in mainstream media. Sacks also criticized the role of The Wall Street Journal in the matter. Cathie Wood noted that while all technologies can be misused, she believes individuals like Elon Musk, who highlight AI risks without participating in political conspiracies, are playing a positive role by helping to define the problems associated with the technology.
