IBGE to Include Cryptocurrency Transactions in New National Accounts Methodology

The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) has confirmed that cryptocurrency transactions will be incorporated into its official national accounts survey. Technical staff from the government agency outlined the methodology update in a document published in September, as the institution develops a new series for the System of National Accounts.
