Consensys Software Inc. to Split and Rebrand as MetaMask

Consensys Software Inc. is splitting into two independent entities. The consumer-facing business, centered on the MetaMask wallet, will rebrand as MetaMask with Joe Lubin serving as CEO. A new company retaining the Consensys name will house the institutional infrastructure business, including Linea and Besu. The restructuring is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
