MoneyGram Launches First Stablecoin-Backed Visa Card in Colombia

MoneyGram has introduced its first stablecoin-backed Visa card, debuting in Colombia. The digital card initially supports USDC, with plans to integrate the company's own MGUSD stablecoin in the future. Users can manage the card via the MoneyGram app for online and contactless offline payments, or convert balances to local currency at nearby locations. Developed in collaboration with payment infrastructure firm Rain, the product utilizes Crossmint wallet technology and the Stellar network.
