Ramp: Anthropic Captures 43.8% of U.S. Corporate AI Spending

Ramp's September 2026 AI Index reports that Anthropic holds a 43.8% share of U.S. corporate AI spending, followed by OpenAI at 39.8%. While AI adoption continues, growth has slowed in sectors like finance and professional services. The median monthly AI spend per employee among top-tier firms decreased by 9.7%, and the effective price per million tokens dropped 41% from its March peak to $0.68. Frontier models account for 45% of token usage, while open-source models remain at a 3.6% share of all AI-spending firms.
