Former Bank of England official joins blockchain payment firm Fnality

Jon Cunliffe, former Deputy Governor for Financial Stability at the Bank of England, and Jochen Metzger, former Director General of Payments and Settlement Systems at the Deutsche Bundesbank, have joined the blockchain payment company Fnality. Cunliffe will chair the board of Fnality's UK entity, while Metzger joins the European supervisory board. Fnality, backed by major global banks, operates a wholesale payment system and is currently seeking regulatory approval to expand its services to include USD and EUR settlements.
