German Finance Ministry Proposes 25% Tax on Crypto Assets

The German Federal Ministry of Finance has drafted a proposal to impose a flat 25% withholding tax on capital gains from cryptocurrency sales, effectively ending the current policy that exempts assets held for more than one year from taxation, according to a report by Die Welt.
