Kyrgyzstan Interior Minister reports 90 crypto-related criminal cases since 2026

Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Internal Affairs, Ulan Niyazbekov, stated that 90 criminal investigations related to cryptocurrencies have been initiated since 2026, covering cyber fraud, theft, money laundering, and illicit fund transfers. In a 2025 investigation into a transnational fraud ring, police identified a TRON wallet containing over $3 million in digital assets and utilized blockchain analysis tools to track the funds.
