Qualcomm and Amazon sign $60 billion AI chip deal

Qualcomm and Amazon have entered into an agreement to develop specialized chips for AI data centers, with a potential business value reaching $60 billion. As part of the deal, Qualcomm issued Amazon a warrant to purchase approximately $4 billion in shares at $161.26 per share. The collaboration will focus on AI inference chips and high-speed optical interconnects capable of speeds up to 1.6 Tbps.
