Hyperliquid open interest hits $14.3 billion as HYPE reaches all-time high

Hyperliquid's total open interest (OI) reached $14.3 billion on Sunday, nearing levels seen before the October 2025 market crash. While the platform experienced a significant recovery, the composition of its OI has shifted; the share of HIP-3 OI declined from 34% to 25% over the past month, even as total OI grew by $3.57 billion. Growth was driven by Coinbase directing Base App users to Hyperliquid and reports of potential U.S. regulatory compliance efforts involving the CFTC.
