The Economist Estimates AI Has Created 1 Million Jobs in the US

The Economist estimates that AI has created approximately 1 million new jobs in the US, significantly outpacing the 200,000 jobs lost to AI since mid-2023. Growth is driven by high-skilled roles in AI development and blue-collar jobs related to data center construction. Since 2022, roles for engineers, software developers, mathematicians, and data scientists have increased by 730,000 above trend lines.
