Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) stated at Bitcoin Asia that Bitcoin could potentially surpass gold in market capitalization during the next bull market, noting a current 10-fold gap. Ricardo Salinas Pliego estimated that Bitcoin could reach a price of approximately $1.86 million if it matches gold's total market cap. While Bitcoin's potential as a strategic reserve asset is significant, CZ noted that transitioning from established gold management systems to Bitcoin will take time.
