Mistral AI Raises €3 Billion in Series D Funding at €21 Billion Valuation

French AI company Mistral AI has secured €3 billion in a Series D funding round, reaching a post-money valuation of over €21 billion. Led by Samsung Electronics, with participation from EQT's Scaleup Europe Fund and PSG Equity, the round also included new investors such as Advent, BlackRock, and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Existing backers including a16z, ASML, BNP Paribas, and Nvidia also participated. The funds will support frontier model research, infrastructure expansion, and international commercialization.
