Cronos confirms $120 million stolen in Tectonic exploit

Cronos reported that the Tectonic exploit on August 30, 2026, resulted in $120.4 million in losses, higher than the initial $75 million estimate. The network recovered $111.2 million, or 92% of the funds, by rolling back two hours of transaction history. Approximately $9.19 million remains unrecovered.
