Ethereum Foundation Confirms Two Mandatory EIPs for Pectra Upgrade

The Ethereum Foundation (EF) has designated EIP-7805 (FOCIL) and EIP-8141 (Frame Transactions) as mandatory proposals for the upcoming Pectra upgrade. The foundation stated that if either proposal faces significant obstacles, the upgrade timeline should be delayed rather than proceeding without them. FOCIL aims to provide decentralized transaction inclusion to reduce reliance on centralized block builders, while EIP-8141 introduces native account abstraction and post-quantum authentication paths.
