Switzerland Expands CHFD Stablecoin Sandbox to Nine Companies

Switzerland has entered the live testing phase for its Swiss Franc-denominated stablecoin, CHFD, incorporating financial market operator SIX and payment app TWINT into the initiative. A total of nine companies, including UBS, PostFinance, Sygnum, Raiffeisen, Zürcher Kantonalbank, BCV, SIX, TWINT, and Swiss Stablecoin AG, are participating in the controlled sandbox. The project aims to evaluate if programmable payments can mitigate fraud in online marketplaces, enhance event ticketing, and improve public-sector services.
