White hat hacker promises to return majority of 4,000 BTC stolen from Liquid Network

Galaxy Research head Alex Thorn reported that a white hat hacker who exploited a critical vulnerability in the Liquid Network to obtain approximately 4,000 BTC has pledged to return the majority of the funds. The hacker is communicating with Blockstream via OP_RETURN messages and PGP-encrypted text, having already sent a 1,000 satoshi signal to a federal wallet. The hacker has demanded that Blockstream prioritize patching the vulnerability and ensuring node updates before the funds are returned.
