Binance Research: Crypto market cap rose 17.6% to $2.7 trillion in August, ETF inflows hit annual high

Binance Research reported that the total crypto market capitalization increased by 17.6% to $2.7 trillion in August, with ETF inflows reaching their strongest level of 2026. Bitcoin saw a 24.8% gain within a single week, ranking in the top 1% of weekly gains since 2020. Asset allocation data shows crypto exposure among equity holders rose from 64% to 72%, while stablecoin holdings dropped by 22%. Additionally, the share of TradFi perpetual futures trading volume fell from 40% to 20%, indicating a shift of capital and activity back into crypto assets.
