Sparrow Quantum achieves record single-photon stream of 500 million per second

Sparrow Quantum, in collaboration with Ruhr University Bochum, has developed a deterministic source capable of generating over 500 million usable single photons per second in single-mode fiber. Operating at 1 GHz with fiber coupling efficiency exceeding 50%, this breakthrough is expected to advance quantum computing, communications, and metrology by enabling complex multi-photon experiments.
