Base Creator Jesse Pollak's X Account Compromised to Promote Scam Token

Jesse Pollak, a co-founder of Base, confirmed that his X account was compromised after attackers used a connected third-party application to post a scam token named BASEMEME. The fraudulent posts, which marketed the token as the first meme coin with real utility and linked to o1.exchange, have been deleted. Pollak has since removed all third-party app connections and regained full control of his account. The BASEMEME token currently holds a market capitalization of $257,000.
