Harmony Proposes Migrating ONE Token to Ethereum and Sunset Mainnet

Harmony Protocol has announced a proposal to migrate its native ONE token to the Ethereum network and gradually shut down its mainnet. Citing security threats from state-level actors and AI agents, the team plans to cease mainnet operations, with validators eligible to stop node operations starting September 10, 2026. A compensation pool of $1.372 million will be distributed to validators and delegators who fulfill transition requirements. New ONE tokens will be airdropped to the corresponding Ethereum wallet addresses based on a snapshot of the final block
