Bitcoin Core v32 Feature Freeze Complete, Block Validation Speed to Triple
Protocol Watch founder Christine D. Kim announced that Bitcoin Core v32 reached its feature freeze on August 20, with a formal release expected in October. The update introduces multi-CPU core parallel processing, which is expected to increase block validation speeds by up to 3 times. Other features include a global transaction queue for improved stability during traffic spikes and a new fee estimation mechanism based on mempool state. The update does not involve changes to Bitcoin's consensus protocol rules.
