XRP Rallies 40% in Two Weeks as CME Futures Open Interest Climbs to 17%
XRP price rose approximately 40% to $1.38 over the past two weeks, despite a 16% decline in total open interest to 2.34 billion tokens. While most exchanges saw a reduction in futures holdings, CME's XRP futures open interest grew by 36% to 387 million tokens, increasing its market share from 10% to 17%. CFTC data indicates that leveraged funds doubled their net short positions to 116 million XRP, while dealers and asset managers increased their net long positions ahead of the U.S. CLARITY Act procedural vote expected in mid-September.
