Japan's FSA Requests Budget and Staff Increase to Strengthen Crypto Oversight

The Financial Services Agency (FSA) of Japan announced its budget and staffing requirements for the 2027 fiscal year on August 31. The agency is requesting a net increase of 14 personnel, including 13 new staff members specifically dedicated to regulating emerging financial services such as crypto assets.
