MiniMax Co-founder Defines AGI as AI Capable of Generating 1% of Global GDP

Yeyi Yun, co-founder of Chinese AI lab MiniMax, stated at the Goldman Sachs Asia Leaders Conference that AGI should be defined by an AI's ability to autonomously generate 1% of global GDP. She noted that early signs of AGI, such as autonomous planning and self-evaluation, are already emerging. MiniMax is currently prioritizing intelligence improvements over adoption rates and remains confident in reaching $1 billion in annual recurring revenue (ARR) by the end of the year.
