Tavus Claims 48% of Participants Mistook Its Griffin AI for a Real Person in Video Calls

链捕手 ChainCatcher ·

AI startup Tavus released its new 'human interaction model' Griffin on October 1, designed to generate face-to-face conversations with realistic expressions and pauses. In internal tests, 48% of 54 participants believed they were speaking to a human after a one-minute video call with Griffin-Lite, a significant improvement over the previous generation. While Tavus reports high performance on Nvidia's VideoFDB benchmark and low latency on H100 chips, community notes on X highlight that these results lack independent verification. Tavus previously raised $40 million in a Series B funding round led by CRV in November 2025.
