Cardano Foundation and Petrobras Partner on Blockchain Fuel Solutions

The Cardano Foundation and Brazilian oil company Petrobras (Petrobras) are collaborating on two blockchain applications to track sustainable aviation fuel and renewable diesel. The partnership, which began with an education initiative in 2023, now aims to improve supply chain traceability and incentivize consumer adoption of sustainable fuels. Petrobras plans to meet domestic demand for sustainable aviation fuel by 2027-2029, with the new blockchain tools designed to combat greenwashing and verify fuel origins.
