According to data from SUBFROST, the Bitcoin metaprotocol Alkanes accounted for 61.1% of all Bitcoin transactions between June 23 and September 20. During this period, Alkanes utilized 40.3% of block space by weight and generated 13.4% of transaction-fee revenue. The protocol, which builds on the Runes standard, maintains a strong user base in the Asia-Pacific region, with significant activity from Chinese-speaking users and integration with the UniSat wallet.
