Bitget CEO Gracy Chen stated she is not optimistic about recovering the $388 million lost in a recent security breach, citing the 2025 Bybit hack as a reference where only a small fraction of funds was retrieved. The breach, which occurred on September 24, 2026, involved a zero-day vulnerability in third-party security software affecting hot and warm wallets. Bitget has begun resuming withdrawals, with ETH enabled on September 29, USDT on September 30, and other services scheduled for October 2.
