UK FCA opens crypto firm authorization applications under new regime

The UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has begun accepting authorization applications for crypto asset firms under a new regulatory framework. Companies currently operating in the UK must submit their applications by February 28, 2027, ahead of the regime's official implementation on October 25, 2027. This transition brings crypto firms under full FCA oversight, requiring compliance with standards for consumer protection, asset custody, market integrity, and financial resilience.
