Brazil's CSD BR Partners with Ripple to Tokenize BTG Pactual Fund Shares on XRPL

Brazil's central securities depository, CSD BR, has partnered with Ripple to utilize the XRP Ledger (XRPL) for recording and auditing financial assets. The first phase involves tokenizing shares of investment funds from BTG Pactual using the Multi-Purpose Token (MPT) standard. While official records remain within CSD BR's systems, the XRPL will serve as a secondary layer for real-time verification and auditing. The initiative is restricted to institutional clients compliant with KYC and AML regulations and includes features for asset clawbacks. Future phases may expand to include real estate and agricultural credit certificates.
