NEAR Intents’ SHIELD Layer Blocks $50 Million in Stolen Bitget Funds

The SHIELD risk-intelligence layer within the NEAR Intents protocol successfully detected and blocked over $50 million in attempted money laundering linked to the recent Bitget hack. While $166,000 bypassed the system, $503,000 was frozen during execution. Bitget CEO Gracy Chen commended the protocol for its intervention, noting that NEAR Intents waived its 5% recovery bounty.
