KDDI Launches Crypto Wallet Service Within au PAY App

KDDI, in collaboration with au Coincheck Digital Assets and HashPort, has launched the non-custodial 'αU wallet' as a mini-app within the au PAY platform. Users can exchange Ponta points for crypto assets and stablecoins, including WBTC, ETH, and JPYC, with the ability to charge au PAY balances for use at merchants. A staking feature for these assets is scheduled for release in winter 2026.
