Binance Invests $100 Million in Circle, Signs Five-Year USDC Promotion Deal

Binance has invested $100 million in Circle and entered into a five-year commercial agreement to promote and integrate USDC on its platform. Analysts suggest this partnership strengthens USDC's distribution in emerging markets and challenges Tether's dominance. Since their initial collaboration in December 2024, USDC spot markets on Binance have grown from 140 to 329, with monthly trading volumes consistently exceeding $80 billion. According to Kaiko, Binance currently holds the largest share of USDC spot trading, with daily volumes significantly higher than other platforms.
