Bank of Mexico Stalls Peso-Backed Stablecoins as USDC and USDT Dominate Remittances

Although the Fintech Law permits the issuance of peso-backed stablecoins, the Bank of Mexico has yet to authorize any, and the banking sector remains inactive on the issue. Meanwhile, USDC and USDT continue to dominate the remittance market between Mexico and the United States.
