ARK Invest Partners With Securitize to Tokenize Venture Fund on Ethereum

ARK Invest and Securitize announced on Sept. 24 that eligible investors can hold tokenized interests in the ARK Venture Fund (ARKVX) on Ethereum. While the move brings the fund onto blockchain infrastructure, the shares remain illiquid with no secondary market expected. Investors are still subject to the fund's quarterly repurchase policy, which allows for the buyback of up to 5% of outstanding shares at net asset value. Although the SEC has granted permission for a tokenized share class that could potentially trade on alternative systems, ARK noted that only approved wallets can hold the tokens and does not anticipate a robust trading market initially.
