Bitget Outlines Withdrawal Resumption Schedule Following $387.5 Million Hack

Bitget has announced a phased schedule to resume withdrawals starting September 28, following a security breach that resulted in a loss of approximately $387.5 million. The exchange stated that the incident involved a supply chain attack on third-party tools rather than a private key compromise. While the exchange maintains that user assets remain available and losses will be covered by its protection fund, the investigation into the unauthorized transfers, which spanned nearly three hours, is ongoing with assistance from Mandiant and SlowMist.
