Meme Coin Tool Paid Distributes Over $1.5 Million to X Influencers

The meme coin fee-splitting tool Paid (UsePaid) has distributed over $1.53 million to various X accounts via X Money without requiring recipient consent. The platform converts creator fees from pump.fun token transactions into USD and sends them to designated X users. Paid uses 20% of its revenue to buy back and burn its native token, PAID, which has seen a 350% price increase in 24 hours, reaching a market cap of approximately $41.3 million. While the tool has introduced an opt-out feature following feedback from former X product lead Nikita Bier, users can still create tokens using others' handles. Recipients must be U.S.-based and have X Money enabled to claim funds; otherwise, unclaimed payments are returned to the protocol.
