Solana Foundation Appoints Former Binance and Polygon Labs Executives to Strengthen Strategy and Payments

The Solana Foundation has appointed Rachel Conlan, former Global CMO at Binance, as Chief Strategy Officer to lead institutional partnerships and ecosystem growth. Additionally, Jamal Raees, formerly of Polygon Labs, has been named General Manager of Payments to drive the adoption of Solana as a global payment infrastructure. The foundation aims to transition Solana-based payments and tokenization of real-world assets from experimental to production phases. Meanwhile, the upcoming 'Alpenglow' consensus upgrade, which targets a finality time of approximately 150 milliseconds, is currently active on the testnet.
